elevated SCB0y Obituary
elevated SCB0y Peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Toronto, at the age of 67. Loving son of the late Marcello and Lena Vottero. Cherished brother of Frank S. Vottero (Barbara) and Mary Anne Selva (the late James). Dearest uncle of Marcel (Arielle), Michael, Jennifer (Iain), and Francesca. Marcel will be remembered by his dear friend Norman. Marcel will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Park Rehabilitation Centre (Toronto).
Marcel had a kindness that made you feel welcome as soon as he met you. Like you were friends forever. Shirt off his back type of guy. And while I only knew Marcel for a small number of years of his life, he had a lifelong impact. But not just on me. He did this to everyone. His laugh was genuine and contagious. He cared for family and friends with unequivocal support. He would put his life on hold to help them. And he did it because it was the right thing to do.
His dogs…man he loved them. All of them had the best home and life because of Marcel.
He played guitar(s) and the drums – he was a rock star. He was the biggest Three Stooges fan. He was a stuntman. He was a son, brother, uncle, husband, friend. He was so many things to so many people.
He will be missed.
I’m sorry Marcel. I hope you are at rest and peace.
To the extended family:
It is with great sadness that I stumbled upon this notice today.
I fondly remember the whole Vottero family from my younger days.
My deepest condolences to Frank and Mary Anne and their families. Marcy was very close to my brother Luigi (Nino) when they attended St. Monica’s School.
Mary Anne and family
I am so sorry for your loss.
Dearest Mary Ann, we are so sorry to have heard of your loss. We pray that God would comfort you and your family with His peace. May joyful memories of your beloved brother Marcel bring smiles through the tears. With much affection – Yvette, Ken and the boys
I am so sorry to read of the passing of my friend Marcel Vottero. I met Marcel when he came to my office looking for cottage real estate. We became quick friends. I ended up buying his cottage. I have not had as much fun at the cottage since Marcel owned it. Marcel was always a fun, good natured human being who always had your best interests at heart. He was a very special person. I am saddened by his passing. I had no idea since we lost touch. To Marcel Junior, I remember you well and your uncle Marcel was a very special person who touched, and left a lasting impression, on everyone he met. My deep condolences.
