elevated Boo39 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marcel Coulombe, beloved husband of Viola Coulombe (nee Lanthier) of Scarborough, at The Wexford Residence, December 21, 2018 in his 95th year, surrounded by family. Marcel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Viola, as well as by his 6 children: Richard (Debbie), Jeanette (Lloyd), Raymond (Jennifer), Paul (Susan), Michael (Sandra), and Robert (Karen); and his 15 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Born in Berthierville, Quebec, Marcel was predeceased by parents, Louis Phillipe and Marie Alice (nee Desy), and by siblings Yvon, Aline, and Marie-Paul. Marcel will be remembered for his demonstrated love and selfless devotion to Viola and his kids through 68 years of marriage; the pride and affection he held for his ever-growing extended family; his sense of humour; and his genuinely modest and humble nature. Some of his favourite activities included attending his children’s countless hockey games and other sporting events, hosting poolside BBQs with friends & family, cooking, holding newborn children, befriending dogs, reading, and sipping on real Canadian maple syrup. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm, with a funeral mass immediately following. Entrance to the Funeral Home is located at 211 Langstaff Road East Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Wexford Residence Foundation, 1860 Lawrence Ave E., (416) 752-8877, would be appreciated. Our family would like to express our immense gratitude for the loving care and attention that our father received at The Wexford.
