elevated mSo8H TSE, Woon Chung Simon, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 62.
elevated mSo8H He was born on November 30, 1957 in Hong Kong. Upon graduation from St. Francis Xavier College, he worked at Jardine Airways and subsequently at Minolta Co., as the Manager for the Hong Kong Microfilms Division. He immigrated to Canada in 1997 and joined Telus Mobility. During his employment with Telus, he worked diligently, always scoring highly to meet the satisfaction of his company and was well-respected by his fellow staff.
elevated mSo8H Beloved husband of Dorothy Chan and beloved father of Monique and Sharon, Simon proved to be a loving person and devoted husband/father.
elevated mSo8H Simon was an audiophile. He was known for his passion in high fidelity music and loved to host and entertain his family and friends with the melodic sounds of his systems. He also enjoyed spending time with his aquarium of saltwater fish, calming himself as he watched them swim gracefully in the tank.
elevated mSo8H Simon will be sadly missed and remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. The family wishes to thank all the people who had helped and cared for him during his illness.
Simon is my best friend and he’s so kind to share jokes and fun with “Five Best Friend “ WhatsApp group. He always teach me how to resolve the tax issue and advice the financial information to me .
He’s so proud to have a wonderful wife Dorothy and 2 cheerful daughters Monique and Sharon .
He’s always be my good friend and teacher and will be in my mind forever.
God will bless him and his family and will lead him to his happy heaven.

Simon was always pleasant and accommodating when I visited his family. He was a strong source of support and was loved by many people in his life. He will be greatly missed, but it is also a celebration of all that he has accomplished in his lifetime. He is now enjoying eternal life in heaven. It is so disheatening to lose my good friend, Simon.
We knew each other at teenage via his former neighbour (my schoolmate), Shui Yu, in So Uk Estate. Simon and I together with the other three folks hanged out the entire summer in 1974. I followed their footsteps for football games, folk songs demos, movies, wanderings etc….
Simon looked very cute with his thick curly hair and cheerful face. We had never had chance to feel bored with his endless jokes. He was indeed born humorously.
Simon was always my primary audience of my life stories to share ups and downs. 45 years were elapsed, our friendship did not fade.
May God give all love and strengths to Dorothy, Monique and Sharon during this difficult time. We feel comforting as we know Simon is now in the good hands of God. We shall meet again somewhere in the future.
RIP! 安息！Simon.

Our last dinner with Simon during a SFX’er re-union seems like just weeks ago. His joy brought so much fun to the re-union, even though every one of us knew he was fighting the toughest battle in his life. Simon will be missed by every SFX’ers.
Simon was an amiable, light-hearted and well-liked classmate of mine when we commenced our high school years at SFX College. Fortunately we’re alloted to the same class on and off for four years as we progressed the 7-year studying journey. Simon’s presence and company definitely brought every classmate joy, high spirit and inspiration throughout our teenage years.
Thanks to Simon for enlightening me on interests aside from tedious academic learning, particularly appreciation of high fidelity audio sound/music and playing guitar. In fact, Simon took me to buy my first and only guitar. I never forget.
May Almighty God continue to give strength and comfort to Simon’s family!
