Dear Uncle Gab,
Your gentleness, welcoming nature, positivity, hard word, and devotion to your family are unmatched. You invited all those who stepping into your home with unwavering love and humour. We will miss you so much but are comforted to know that your legacy and impact will live within each and every one of your family members and to those who knew you. We can’t wait to hear Cheeko’s words next time we visit!
Personally, thank you for the years of your mentorship and grandfathership to myself and the boys (and the rest of my family).
We will remember the bowling in our youth, all the Goan picnics, and more recently you sitting in the kitchen during Sunday evening family gatherings – smiling hearing the noises of all the children’s noises.
You are one of a kind and we will be comforted to know that we will meet again one day. For now, you are with your ancestors and our Lord, who will always take care and live in us.
Our prayers, love and condolences to Aunty Philo, Aubrey and family, Cheryl and family, Wendy and family and Allan and family.
We send our deepest virtual hugs.

Philo & Gabby we knew each other in our youth. You both overcame obstacles in the pursuit of love and happiness. You both showed everybody the true meaning of love and it shows with the family you nurtured over the years. Gabby was a great human being always and the welcome you got in his home was so genuine and it was hard to say goodbye.
Being there at your wedding Dec,29, 1957 was a moment I will always remember. Gabby got the love of his life. It was their dream to have a happy home and they accomplished it. Just seeing their children grown up to be responsible adults is proof of A LIFE WELL LIVED. REST IN PEACE DEAR GABBY. We will all meet again. Don’t forget to keep some CHAI ready.
Love always, Eudora
I have enjoyed knowing and working with Gabe for many years. He was always in a great mood and never down. Even near the end he was still positive and looked forward to every day. I’ve connected and meet with many of the Hannah family members and I suspect Gabe had to be so proud of the many accomplishments and successes that have followed his family. I feel he is at peace knowing he did his best with raising the family and that best turned into wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a father it has to be so hard to say good bye, but Gabe I suspect is extremely happy with the results of all his work.
Losing a husband, father or friend is never easy and my thoughts and prayers go the Hannah family during this difficult time.
