I have such fond memories of Mrs. Burns. Always so full of life. You raised a beautiful family. You will be missed by so many.
I will remember some funny moments with Patti’s mom, like when we were unable to fool her regarding our whereabouts when we were teenagers. Mrs. Burns, when I think of her, I am reminded of her gentle and kind nature, her smile, her laughter, her pragmatism and her friendliness. And also, the honey jar on the kitchen table. I first learned from the Burns’ kitchen, that you could make yogurt at home. Ninety eight years of a fulfilling and happy life; I hope that I’m as lucky.
Lady Betty will be sadly missed by all the Ladies & Nobles at the Shrine Club.
John – your Mom was so full of life when I met her! Sorry for your loss.
Teresa,
Such fond memories of your Mom and the warm welcoming home she created. Your Dad sitting in a chair at the kitchen table just smiling, your mom buzzing around the kitchen with a pot of something on the stove. She was just a wonderful woman.
A good friend and Choir member at St Gabriel’s. Betty was a lovely woman. Please give my sincere condolences to all the family from Pat Oatway,
Kathy
I have such wonderful memories of your whole family.it was never a problem to add one more person to your already full dinner table. Swinging on the tire swing in the backyard, ice skating in the winter on the great rink your dad created . Your mom was a positive influence in my life which led to a fulfilling career. Betty was a formidable woman right to the end.
Thinking of you all today with my love and sympathy.
Goodbye to my sweet godmother! Thank you for being part of my life, and may you rest in peace. My deepest condolences to all of the Burns family.
There are so many fond memories of Aunt Betty’s warm hospitality and her easy laugh. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
