elevated t8VOg Maria Antonina Frasca Gentile passed away peacefully on the morning of March 4th, 101 days from her 100th birthday.

elevated t8VOg Born in Calascio, L’Aquila, Italy on June 13, 1921, Maria lived both an incredibly long and healthy life, never becoming ill or suffering from any disease, until she incurred a mild stroke at the end of 2020, from which she never recovered. 

elevated t8VOg A pious Catholic and devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Maria rests in peace reunited with her beloved husband, Gino, who passed away 28 years ago. Maria is remembered with great love across three generations of her family. She is survived by her son, Vincenzo, daughter-in-law, Matilde, her grandchildren Luigi (Anita) and Mariangela (Jonah), and her great-grandchildren. Maria’s affection, strength, humour, and her extraordinarily beautiful singing voice will be dearly missed.

elevated t8VOg A private Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 9, in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, limited to immediate family only. Due to health and safety precautions, no visitation will be held. In observance of Lent, the family wishes no flowers be sent. A memorial Mass allowing extended family and friends to pay their respects will be held at a future date.
