elevated 6lhDD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Battaglia on March 8, 2021 at the age of 75. Loving father to Sandro and his wife Denisa, Maria and her husband Aldo. Proud Nonno to Matteo, Massimo, Alessandro, Marco and Ava. Beloved Companion of Lucy Salvati of many years. Loving brother to Tom, Rosemary, Theresa (Tony), Josie (Carmen).
elevated 6lhDD Alexander (Al) was loved by many. Al had a huge heart and loved spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed summer gatherings by the pool and watching TV in his sunroom. When not at home, he was a social butterfly who would often be found enjoying a coffee with a friend or attending his grandkids many activities.

Our condolences to our good friend Lucy Salvati and to Al’s family on the loss of their father and grandfather. Al was a good friend to us and we always enjoyed his company. He will be greatly missed.
Our hearts are broken to hear of Al’s passing. An unbelievably generous man who was a cherished friend of our family. I cannot express enough how much he meant to my father Rocco, who loved Al dearly.
Until we can meet, from my mother Tina, my husband Vince and myself, we are offering all our thoughts and prayers with you all during this difficult time.
Uncle Al you’re going to be missed by me and Michael. I’m going to miss having you over for dinners and having your company by the pools and making me laugh with all your funny jokes and of course we love you lots and lots. Me and Michael were lucky to have you as our uncle and neighbour for 18 in a half years.

Alex and I attended St. Brigid’s and St. Michael’s together and were inseparable friends during those years. We made an attendance at the new Okeefe center in 1960 (?) and were first time riders on the new University subway. We grew apart after I moved from Toronto’s east end (Woodbine/Danforth) and unfortunately did not continue our relationship. My mother died in 1962 and Alex was there in his father’s 1957 Ford station wagon always at my side. Rest in piece my dear old friend, I have thought about you numerous times over the years and only wish we could have seen each other again. Memories of our adventures will be treasured forever.
