My sincere condolences to the family. Tony loved to chit chat. We would stand in the hallway and our conversation would keep going and going. Loved to hear his stories and his thoughts. I am glad I met Tony through work. He always had a smile no matter what, he was always happy and extremely helpful in many ways. Miss you friend, RIP.

I Am Standing Upon The Seashore.
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, “There, she is gone”
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me — not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, “There, she is gone,”
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!”
And that is dying…
Death comes in its own time, in its own way.
Death is as unique as the individual experiencing it.

I wish the entire Dolinar family my condolences in this difficult time.
A nicer and funnier and smart guy you would be hard to find. I lunched with Tony along with Reta Bertrand, Elizabeth Cowie, Shawn McDonnell and Sylvie Arseneau for years and Tony kept our humour levels high. He often talked about visiting his mother at lunch and how much he enjoyed that along with seeing his siblings and other family members when he could get to Toronto. He was also not shy to talk about most topics at lunch unless the ladies brought up something that was uncomfortable so he and I would have our own discussion with Shawn. 🙂
I also had the pleasure to work closely with Tony over the last 14 plus years and his knowledge and practical approach and cutting out the nonsense was appreciated.
My work brother you will be missed.
So sorry to hear Tony’s passing. I have got know Tony through work, he was always encouraging, kind and supportive. whenever I had a chance to talk to tony, it always end up with infectious smiles. RIP, Tony. You will be greatly missed.
Good bye to my big brother, you’ll be sorely missed. Your words of encouragement and enthusiasm for my big move to British Columbia will always be remembered. I’ll always remember the million walks we went on, to High Park, Grenadier Pond, walking out to the break wall on a frozen Lake Ontario; I’ll remember your tolerance when 2 younger sisters pestered you to play with them and you did so graciously and patiently; I’ll remember you deciding to explore the attic and the next thing I knew you’re leg was dangling through the ceiling and boy did you get in trouble; I’ll remember the jars of peach and apricot jam you made every year and shared. And I’ll never forget your patience, because it was needed, when you stayed with us after your surgery and you had to live with our newly rescued kitten “Little One” who meowed 24/7 while she got comfortable in our home. Sorry I can’t be there to say good bye, but I’ll be watching. You won’t be forgotten, little things will always trigger fond memories. Love always, Cathy

Tony and I were at St. Mike’s together in the early seventies. We didn’t talk to each other a great deal but when we did I always found Tony to be a very kind, sensitive and considerate person. I know I enjoyed being in his company. I had not seen him since our days at St. Mike’s but his passing still came as quite a shock. In 2008 I encouraged him to attend our thirtieth anniversary reunion at St. Mike’s but he did not attend and now I regret that I did not try harder. I know his presence on earth he will be missed. With God’s grace may he rest in eternal peace.
I’m sorry to learn of Tony’s passing. He was a significant contributor to our purchasing group for so many years and was so well thought of. I enjoyed that easy laugh and sense of homour.
