Loriano Tomei
elevated hUUJ4 Peacefully passed away with his two sons by his side on May 7th, 2021 at the age of 88. Loriano was the beloved husband of the late Francesca and will be remembered as a caring and devoted father to his sons Mario (Nives) and Danny (Anna) and proud Nonno of his treasured grandchildren Alexander, Caroline and Nicole. He is cherished by his sister Fedora (the late Ubaldo), sister-in-law Floriana and is predeceased by his brother Orlando, sister Teresa and brother-in-law Nando.
elevated hUUJ4 While serving in the Italian army Loriano met the love of his life Francesca and married her shortly thereafter, spending 60 wonderful years together. In March of 1957, Loriano and Francesca boarded the SS Cristoforo Colombo and embarked on their new life in Canada, working tirelessly to provide for their family. Loriano was always quick to laugh, tell jokes and enjoyed reminiscing about his life in Italy. From humble beginnings working at Canada Bread Ltd., Loriano found his calling in the construction industry, rising to foreman and participating in the development of some of the largest residential buildings of the time. From there he decided to venture off on his own and successfully ran his own company for many years until his retirement. Following this, Loriano and Francesca devoted their time to helping raise their grandchildren who they adored until their final moments.

Mario and Danny, my sincerest condolences for you loss. I remember all the time we spent together, especially when your dad and my dad started their own construction company and spending the summer working with them, physically tough days but good times! I am sure your dad and my dad are now together in heaven planning to build and/or fix something.

A very nice man the best neighbor and friend anyone could have.I have many good memories of Loriano and Francesca.Amazing people .Loriano was a gentleman always with a smile and a laugh.Now he reunites with his wife and my father like old times.May he rest in peace .
Mario and Danny, this has come as quite a sudden shock. I will miss him dearly. He is now reunited with his love, his parents, siblings, but best of all he can continue his joking around with my dad. Maybe now they can find that item they hid in cave. I will miss our regular little phone talks about the good old days. My parents were dear friends and they always enjoyed spending time with you and Francesca, while I played in the house every week growing up.
