elevated jtqEr 1922 – 2021

elevated jtqEr With a sorrowful, grieving heart we say goodbye and pay tribute to Lucia Colucci, a distinguished individual and family Matriarch. The pillar and rock of her family, she was beloved, cherished and adored. She was praised and admired by everyone for her remarkable longevity, strength of character, great wisdom, feisty courageous spirit and vivid story telling. Born in Sora, Italy to an enormous family of fifteen children, nine brothers and four sisters; a set of twins had sadly died before birth. Lucia was the 12th child and last daughter. She was blessed with good genes to be the last surviving sibling in the very prominent, loving, tightly united, deeply religious Tersigni family. Lucia married Luigi Colucci and they spent 54 loving years together, first in Italy and then building a life with each other in Canada. Lucia was a supportive, respectful and loyal wife.

elevated jtqEr Her intelligence, instinctive nature, strong faith and courageous fighting spirit guided her in life and gave her tremendous strength to overcome all challenges.  She was uncompromising in her values and lived a life based on high morals and ethical standards. Her unmatched courage and resilience were her strengths.

elevated jtqEr Lucia was generous and welcoming. She was loving, nurturing, compassionate and a fabulous cook. Everyone, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved Nonnina’s homemade pasta and gnocchi. She had style! She had grace! She was a great lady! She inspired us all and leaves an esteemed legacy of love of God, family, friendship and self. We have been blessed, honoured and privileged to have had her presence and influence in our lives. She lived a long, rich and fulfilling life. She will be profoundly missed, never forgotten and lovingly remembered.
