elevated WpePN December 3rd, 1956 – September 1st, 2021
elevated WpePN It is with broken and heavy hearts that the family of Angelo Chimienti announces his passing, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
elevated WpePN Angelo was blessed to have had 32 wonderful years with his wife Cathy, who he loved dearly. He was extremely proud of his beloved daughter Alexandria and his son-in-law Ben.
elevated WpePN Born in Toronto on December 3, 1956 to parents Raffaele and Laura and loved by sisters Franca (predeceased), Melina (Steve), Rita (Ed) and Nietta (Nick). He was a loyal and attentive son-in-law to his parents-in-law, Philip and Lucy LaPenna.
elevated WpePN Angelo had a passion for cars that he carried with him through his entire life & led him to a 40 year career as a mechanic. You could often find him watching car shows hosted by Jay Leno or making sure his cars were sparkling in the driveway. He was also a dedicated Toronto sports fan, to his eternal disappointment.
elevated WpePN He was happiest when he was surrounded by friends and family. He was rarely the loudest person in the room, but he was always the one everyone wanted to talk to. His laughter, quick wit and quicker smile made everyone gravitate to him. He was generous to a fault, and would be there for you whether you needed a hand wiring a light fixture or thought your tire might be loose.
elevated WpePN Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or simply buy yourself a pack of Oreo cookies and don’t tell your spouse, as Ang would have done.

Despite my somewhat limited interactions with Angelo,it was obvious what a gentle soul he was. His patience, soft manner and his uncomplicated personality made you feel immediately at ease. Our world could use more kind, generous individuals such as Angelo. My heartfelt condolences to Cathy, Alexandria, Ben and families. May you be comforted and supported by family and your many friends. God bless you.
Our deepest and sincere condolences is extended to Cathy, Alexandria and Ben. Angelo displayed a unique and charismatic charm that made it simple to engage into a long lasting conversation on any subject with ease. His knowledge was entertaining and respected.

Angelo was an incredible man! Beautiful kind & always happy & fair! I’ve known him since he was a little boy & my mom would take us to play at his wonderful home! A truly Christian family environment. Accepting & never judgemental. I believe he is now an Angel overlooking all his loved ones. His name was Angelo so an Angel? I adored going to his home & my little brother playing with him on McCaul St in Toronto. When my mom died the first person I went to see was Loretta (his mom). I’m so sad about his passing & can’t believe this has happened. It’s so surreal! God people should never die! My heart breaks for all of you! Losing my sister & parents makes you never the same. This was his destiny. God only knows?? Love to all!
Saying goodbye this soon feels really hard .
Miss you ANGELO
RIP
We would miss Angelo. He was certainly a caring, friendly, pleasant neighbor. Never missing to wave, friendly chat and coming over to help if we had any problem with the cars. He loved being outdoor washing the cars and taking care of the garden. I would miss not seeing him outside. We extent our condolences to Cathy and the family.
