Dear Ivan,
On behalf of my family and me, many thanks and appreciation to you and your Brother Knights for your caring messages and prayers.
Also thanks Ivan for your many phone calls to check to see how we were coping when Alex was so very ill in hospital.
Gratefully,
Gertrude
I just received word that our beloved Alex has been called into the Heavenly Kingdom… truly he was a prince of a man and count it a most wonderful blessing that he and Gertrude were such great supporters and parishioners of Holy Eucharist Church when I had the privilege of being the Pastor there back in 1991-1999…
May he Rest In Peace…. and yes, I will gladly celebrate a Requiem Liturgy for the repose of his soul and for peace for Gertrude and family
ps I also had the privilege of being the pastor of his church in Jedburgh.
Father Bohdan
My sincere thanks to you and your Brother Knights for your expressions of condolences to me and my family.
With appreciation from Gertrude.
I was unaware until earlier this month, when I saw the panahyda in the church bulletin (Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church).
Sincere condolences.
May his memory be Eternal.

I’m very sorry to hear of Mr. Karapita’s passing. I enjoyed meeting him at the home of his daughter Stephanie on a few occasions. My condolences to his family for their loss.
Dear Gertrude,
I wanted to offer my condolences on the passing of your beloved husband Alex which I heard about on Friday. On Saturday I read his obituary in the Toronto Star. I never knew what an accomplished man he was, especially his inventing of the portable hanging IV pole!
I also found out more about him while visiting with Olga Nazar who lives in my neighbourhood. Truly he was a wonderful man and a pillar of our church at Holy Eucharist
I am sorry that I will have to miss the funeral because of Covid restrictions. Please know that I am praying for you and your family, and of course for Alex.
I embrace you from afar.
Memory eternal!
In God’s great love for us,
Paul, deacon
