elevated lxJXM Assunta Sepe – Born August 10th, 1928 in Campodimele, Italy to loving parents Francesca Maria Zanella and Gabriele Grossi. Youngest of twelve siblings. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday October 3rd, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Pietro for 68 years and paisanos since childhood. Loving mother of six children: predeceased Genesia (Almerindo), Pasqualina (Franco), Maria (Michele), Michael (Anna), Bruno and Annita (Antonino). Cherished grandmother to Angelina (Angelo), Anthony (Nikki), Marcella (Marco), Daniela (Mark), Stefanie (Dino), Alisha (Leonel), Cristina (Milan), predeceased by Francesca, Aramis (Anna), Michelle, Mikayla, Julia, Delaina and Adrian. Loving great-grandmother to Andrew, Alessia, Alia, Luca, Liam, Rian, Melissa, Alessandro and another expected in January. She will be missed by pets: predeceased Sparky, McQueen, Baci, and Trevi. She will always be remembered for her homemade gnocchi, baking cookies, her love of knitting, sewing, quick wit and sense of humour. Overcoming many struggles, including WWII and immigrating to Canada with a language barrier and one suitcase, she went on to be a positive presence to everyone in her life, always encouraging everyone around her to be the best version of themselves. Her unconditional love for her family will never be forgotten. She will forever be in our hearts. Ti vogliamo tanto bene assai, assai, assai! In lieu of flowers, contributions in Assunta’s memory may be made to Hill House Hospice.

Due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions, friends may have to wait to pay their respects during the visitation period, we are inviting family and friends to a walk-through visitation only to pay their respects, offer condolences and then kindly exit the building to allow for others to enter.
