elevated WjWSG Cora Parke
elevated WjWSG November 18, 1950 – October 13, 2021
elevated WjWSG It is with deep sadness that we must share that our beloved Cora Lacson Parke died on October 13, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Bob Parke, a beloved sister, auntie, and dear friend to many. Cora was an immigrant from the Philippines who was proud of her heritage. She was a proud Canadian who was always up to date on current events and politics.
elevated WjWSG Cora was trained as a registered nurse and later added the specialty of being an enterostomal therapist. Cora combined her skills with compassion to support and care for patients and their families. Nursing was not simply a job for Cora but a mission which she used to care for those in need.
elevated WjWSG Cora is a person of deep faith which gave her purpose and love for others. Through these past years her faith sustained her through the difficult times. We give thanks for the prayers that were offered on her behalf. Cora was ready to be at home with our Lord in heaven. I think heaven has gained another Angel.
elevated WjWSG We will always remember Cora’s generous nature the great pleasure she took in sharing her cooking and baking. Cora never sought more for herself but more to give to others in need.
elevated WjWSG As we remember Cora, please take time to find an act of kindness or generosity you can do to make someone else’s life a little easier and bring a smile to their face and hearts. In this way you will manifest love which is the heart of who Cora is.
elevated WjWSG We love you Cora forever you are in our hearts.

Dear Bob! My condolences to you and your family! She is in my prayers, you take good care !
Cora’s admission into eternal life is sweet defeat for us who loved her and who will always remember her with gladness.
Cora and I received our First Holy Communion together at the Immaculate Conception Academy in Manila. The faith we grew into brought much grace to her life and all who knew her.
Ever so humble and compassionate, she carried a certain peace about her that was expressed in her concern for the sick; her meticulous gardening; her feline pets; her delicious baked goodies; the handmade (usually crocheted) gifts she gave for bridal and baby showers; and the regular telephone calls and notes she sent to her friends.
If she was oblivious to the admiration we had for her, it was because she never called attention to herself.
So blest are we to have had the gift that was Cora. A gift we perhaps have yet to deserve.
To my dear friend Bob,
My sincerest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Cora is now with our creator painting the skies. The sky will now be the bluest of blues and the most perfect pinks and greys.
I am holding a piece of your heart.
All my love,
Your friend,
Cinzia Di Carlo
Dear Bob
We were so saddened to hear of Cora’s passing, and send you our heartfelt condolences.
You and Cora, as well as your parents, have been next-door neighbours of the Dunlop family for over 50 years. Throughout that time, you all stayed in touch,
over the fence, with a ready smile and kind words; all of you have always been wonderful, model neighbours.
Cora was a gentle and giving soul whose thoughtful gestures were always appreciated. She was an amazing baker and would regularly bring her delicious baked goods to our home, sharing warm-hearted thoughts along with her tasty treats. Her infectious smile, kind nature and strong faith shone through in everything she said and did.
We hope your many happy memories of Cora will sustain you through this difficult time.
Rest in peace Cora.
With affection,
The Dunlop family
