Edna and I are devastated at the passing of Connie. Apart from being Edna’s hair dresser for more than 30 years, she was indeed a very loved friend of our family. She gave our grand daughter her first hair cut and was so very loving! She was beautiful, kind, caring and generous, ever ready to help in whatever way she could. Her top priorities were her two girls – she thought the world of them – and rightly so – there couldn’t be a prouder mother!
Though grief stricken, and the fact that we will miss her immensely, we are happy in the thought that she is with the Lord, with her mom and dad and all her deceased relatives. She had a hard life here on earth, the Lord saw that and, in His wisdom, decided to give her soul eternal rest, happiness and peace. No doubt she will be watching over her two girls and her six grandchildren whom she loved and adored!

It is with shock and a heavy heart that I read today of Connie’s passing. My condolences to all her family. I believe she loved country music. We will miss and cherish memories of our beautiful friend. She always had a warm smile, and kind gentle ways. She had an incredible desire to do good in the community with her unforgettable fashion shows and benefit functions. What an inspiration and incredible lady! There is so little one can say when you’ve lost a loved one who was so very dear!
Connie our glamour gal; never shied away from a camera; a social butterfly. You lived and breathed “customers first”; sometimes to the point of neglecting your own health. You were loved by so many.
If it wasn’t for you, introducing me to your brother, Johnny there would be no Jacelyn—who you loved and often said “God sent to you”. Bea, my sister, like you shared a love for jewelry. So Bea wore a pair of earrings you had given her years ago, in your memory. I don’t think you realize how many lives you touched. We love you and will miss you.
We pray that you are cradled within the folds of St. Joseph’s Holy Cloak and your soul finds rest and peace.
Got this cute little forward last night of a little 2 yr old child singing God will take care of you … wish I could share but … remembered how much you would have LOVED that. Miss you Connie and will continue to cheerish all our happy memories and countless laughs together.

Jonas and I were shocked to hear of Connie’s passing and very sad that we were not in Toronto to bid her farewell. We did however participate in the livestream Mass. We know Connie will rest in eternal peace with her Maker.
Connie earned the love and respect of many who knew her as a warm, hardworking and fun loving person.
Since 1982 I followed Connie from salon to salon and finally had a standing appointment with her at 7 am every Saturday. I will always remember that after she’d done my hair, she would call you from downstairs to make sure you were up and ready to go for your French tuition classes.
She was very proud of you both and doted on her grandchildren. It made her very sad that she was unable to enjoy them these past couple of years.
Dannielle, Nicole and family, I am sorry to hear the sad news of Connie’s passing away. She was a very caring and helpful person.

When My sister Mila was extremely ill you made a special effort to fly to England for just three days because as you said you just had to see her one more time.

Aunty Connie, we will really miss you warm smile and caring way. I have fond memories of staying with you when I was young and then visiting again nearly 20 years later. You will be dearly missed by family, friends and those that knew you.
