elevated ip0tY September 23, 1939 – December 19, 2021
elevated ip0tY John Nunzio Di Falco passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 19, 2021, after a long-fought battle with congestive heart failure. He was 82. John was a loving, devoted father to Enza (Phil) Savatti and George (Julie) Di Falco. He was an intensely proud nonno to Jack, Cett, Annika and Zoey. Upon his passing, John was reunited with his late wife, Tonia Di Falco; eldest daughter, Cettina Di Falco-Antonacci and older brother, Emmanuel Di Falco.
elevated ip0tY Born in Ragusa, Sicily in 1939, John was always a proud Italian citizen who came to Canada in 1964 to seek a new, prosperous life. He married the love of his life, Tonia, in 1965, and built his family and accounting career in the Greater Toronto Area right away.
elevated ip0tY Hard work, perseverance and loyalty were tenets John lived by every day. He became a Certified Management Accountant and spent 30 years as an Auditor in GST for the Canada Revenue Agency. Rather than slowing down and relaxing after retirement, John got his Ontario Real Estate Association license and began a new career in his 60s and 70s, and was quite successful.
elevated ip0tY John suffered greatly following the losses of his beloved daughter, Cett, and wife, Tonia, but he remained strong and resilient until the very end of his life. He found meaning and joy in his grandchildren, whom he loved to play with and buy gifts for, every chance he got. He was a great dad and always provided his kids with advice and support whenever they needed it. John enjoyed sipping espresso, vacationing and going to shows with the many different friends he made throughout his life. Even through his 80th birthday, he stayed active and looked forward to long walks, bike rides and gardening on warm, sunny days.

Our condolences to all the family from the Fragale family. John was a wonderful person, very kind and caring. We got to know him during his engagement to Tonia, who lived along with her family on the second floor of my parents home. He helped me get my first job at Federal Savings and Loan when I was only 15. I will never forget that. May he rest in peace 🙏🏻
Hugs to all, the Fragale family
