elevated GUzDD Obituary
elevated GUzDD Born in Rocca di Neto, Italy, Anna, daughter to Francesco Pedretti and Rosaria Aloisio, was the youngest of six children. As a child, she was very curious, sought out literature, and loved learning. She valued the traditions shared in the home and also desired more. In 1966, surprised by Joe Mancuso’s knock on her door and marriage proposal, she followed her sense of adventure. They married and immigrated to Canada, where they built the home in which their family of six would share more than 50 years of memories.
elevated GUzDD Anna was known as a loving motherly person with traditional and progressive views. She loved to work and also had an entrepreneurial spirit. She worked in factories, babysat the entire neighbourhood, designed and created jewelry for young professional women and opened her home to international students who loved her hospitality.
elevated GUzDD Her hobbies included reading readers digest, tackling crossword puzzles, competing in Italian game shows from her sofa and preparing meals from scratch. She was clever, slept with one eye open, had a strong personality and was often sought out for her wisdom and support.
elevated GUzDD Anna is survived by her four children, Frank, Maria Rosa, Luca and Lucia, her daughter-in-law Diana, her brother Adolfo, many dear nieces and nephews, friends, her dog Luna and her beloved grandchildren Madeleine and Paolo.
elevated GUzDD She is dearly missed and will forever remain present in our lives.
elevated GUzDD Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
