elevated sz3tJ  It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wayne on Thursday June 30, 2022, at the age of 70 after a long and arduous battle with cancer. He is survived by Doreen, his wife and best friend of 47 years. Wayne was a devoted father to his children Ryan (Leanne) and Jennifer (Neil). Grandpa (PaPa) adored and loved Emma, Rebecca, Miguel and Aiden. He was a caring brother to John (Rita) and Steven (Tracey). He will be fondly remembered as a loving uncle to Amanda, Andrea, Matthew, Amy, Erin and Khalen. 

Wayne was an incredible educator for 35 years for the York Catholic Board. He taught and coached with fervent passion and tireless dedication.  He provided his students with lifelong experiences by organizing many student trips to Europe. He was a world traveler, and an active participant in his church community of St. Anthony of Padua.  

Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga, Wednesday, July 6th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday July 7th at St. Anthony of Padua church 10:00 am,  followed by the internment at Assumption cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Assumption cemetery chapel. 

Many thanks to all the caring nurses, doctors and health care workers at Brampton Civic, Mount Sinai and Princess Margaret Hospitals. Donations can be made to Canadian Blood Services, the Canadian Cancer Society, and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
