elevated zgrBK Obituary
Our beloved Ralph passed away on 14th July 2022, a month shy of his 79th birthday. He is survived by Maureen, his loving wife of 53 years. He was a devoted father to Richard, Cheryl, Robin, and Roger. He cherished his grandchildren Aaron, Caitlin, Taylor, Rylie, Isaac, Ethan, Asha, and baby Iver whom he unfortunately never got a chance to meet.
elevated zgrBK Ralph was born on 15th August 1943 in Bombay. He was one of three children of Edward and Agnes, with a sister Yvonne and a brother Rufus (deceased). He was an accomplished scholar and athlete in high school and university. In addition to his degree in economics and banking he obtained a degree in law and excelled in the sport of field hockey.
elevated zgrBK He worked at the Bank of Baroda in Bombay. His sense of adventure led him to accept a transfer to Kenya in 1982. He managed a branch in Kisumu, Kenya till he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1987. He worked for CIBC until his retirement in 2008. His dedication to his job was surpassed only by his devotion to his family. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and many a Sunday afternoon was spent cheering them on.
elevated zgrBK It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, but we know that heaven has gained another angel to watch over us.
Our prayers and sympathies to the Dabreo family. Ralph and Rufus played for Indian Oil Hockey in the late 60s .Residents of Bandra Bazar Road and Stanislaus met him often at St Peters. RIP Ralph.

Dear Uncle Ralph,
We are so sad to see you leave this world but have some comfort knowing that you are in a better place (probably teaching everyone the cha-cha-cha!)
I have so many fond memories of you. I’ll never forget you entering our house draped in the Canadian Flag when Robin’s team made it to the Olympics. Your love of the Toronto Blue Jays was so strong that I’m convinced you had something to do with them winning the World Series on your 25th Wedding Anniversary! Helping set up the house for the many parties over the years and then showing off your skills on the dance floor. But my most treasured memory is of you raising the toast at my wedding.
Rest In Peace, Uncle Ralph. I’m glad Aiden and Emily had the chance to know their Papa Ralph.
Love,
Karen
Dear Maureen and family,
Our deepest sympathies. We have fond memories of Ralph as a happy person who loved to dance especially the cha-cha- cha and always enjoyed a good joke. May his soul rest in peace.
Love,
Roy, Brenda and family
I first met Ralph in 1988 when I joined CIBC. As I got to know him, he shared how he was posted in Kenya for a few years, which naturally got me very excited as I was born and raised in Nairobi. Over the course of his career with CIBC we stayed in touch, until his retirement in 2008, after which I unfortunately we lost contact.
Our prayers are with the D’Abreo family at this difficult time and may Ralph’s soul rest in eternal peace.

Dear Maureen and family,
We were praying for Ralph to come home from the hospital, we thanked God for granting him his wishes. Unfortunately, his passing on the 14th July shocked us. Although, we met only a few years ago, it seems longer because we always had a good laugh at the gym or at the church, he will be deeply missed, Maureen take courage because Ralph, will be up there guiding you each day for the rest of your life with your beautiful children.
Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to you Maureen and your family.
Yours in grief.
Michael and Judy
We watched on yesterday as the Jays had their largest victory in franchise history, scoring 28 runs in a game! It was fitting that they did this on the day we laid you to rest. We know you were watching and cheering them on from above. That historic win was for you, Uncle Ralph!
Sincere thanks for your prayers and kind messages of sympathy.
