Arnold was truly one of a kind. I’ll never forget Arnold in the kitchen at a KofC sponsored Italian dinner. There were 4 pots of boiling water on the stove and Arnold was shoveling pre-cooked spaghetti into them. He was all sweaty but wearing a big grin!
And the two of you made quite a pair. Arnold has passed to a better place but his memories will always linger — and bring a smile to our faces. Our prayers are with you Monique.
Thank you!
Monique – We are so sorry to hear of Arnold’s passing. He was so strong and fought for so long – and so did you. We hope that you find comfort knowing that he is finally at peace. I was at Markham Museum today making arrangements for a family reunion picnic and as I looked at the pavillion I could see Arnold busy flipping burgers at the St. Justin Martyr picnic. I also still treasure the special “For Better For Worse” comic that you both enlarged and framed for me after the 2004 Caring & Sharing project. He was a very special person and we will all miss his humour. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
Thank you, Grazie!
My condolences to Monique and the family.
May God give you all strength during this difficult time, and grant you peace in your hearts.

Dear Monique, Ted and Ginitta,
This is a scripture that has helped when facing the loss of a loved one.
Philippians 4:6, 7
6 Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.
This mentions that we can freely “let our petitions be made known to God” and after doing so, that a person can gain “the peace of God”.
Interestingly, it also notes that when we are feeling “anxious over anything” that we exhibit “thanksgiving”, or think about the things we can be thankful for.
Over the years, Uncle Arnold surely gave us so many things to smile and laugh about, as well as learning lessons from him that could serve as an example of how to handle situations that come up in life.
Such knowledge can prove to be beneficial and a reason to be thankful and help us to better cope with his passing.
Sincerely,
David
Thank you, Arigato!
