Thank you all for your thoughts and messages. Many people have asked about flowers. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers you consider making a donation to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in his honour. Thank you.

Our deepest condolences to Lucia, Mark, Jennifer and all the Tavares family. Adriana and I shared an office with Daniel for over a decade. Daniel was a wonderfully decent, wise, ethical, compassionate and proud colleague. I will fondly remember our many chats, his sense of humour, and of course, the eggs he regularly brought to the office. He was always there to offer a helping hand. Above all, we will remember him for his fierce love and devotion to his family.
Rest In Peace, my friend.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family, may Daniel Rest In Peace.
