elevated xzeHm Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Giuseppe Filice. Born January 4, 1934 in Figline Vegliaturo (CS) Italy. Died December 8, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Loving and devoted husband of 66 years to Marguerite (D’Amario). Cherished Dad to Angela D’Alessandro (late Sylvester), Josie Mirabelli (Cesare) and Ada Bannan (Don). Survived by his sole remaining brother Salvatore. His loving crew of grandchildren Stephanie (Anthony), Laura, Victoria, Anthony (Nikki), Jack, and Luke. And his one great grandson Gianfranco. And his grand-dog Marley. Zio Peppino as he was lovingly called by his large family of nieces and nephews here and in Italy. Emigrated to Canada in September 1953, at the tender age of 19, to meet up with his older brother Antonio, to start a new life. He was a proud Canadian and grateful for the abundant life that Canada provided. Worked at Massey Ferguson fabricating beautiful red farming equipment. A steadfast Toronto Maple Leafs fan who preferred to watch the games at home instead of seeing in person. In his retirement years, loved to cook and take care of his vegetable garden and flowers (he had a magic touch with Dahlias). Whether making tomato sauce in the garage every August, to making wine in September, to making his delicious soppressata and sausages every January. He was already planning to buy the meat for this January. In lieu of flowers, and especially at this Christmas time, please consider donating to Scott Mission
