Obituary
elevated gAwhf Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 27, 2022 at the age of 90. He was the second child of Hanna Petros and Mariam Dawood. Beloved husband of 57 years to Awatef Saman. Caring and devoted father to Kays, Husam (Tanya), and Bashar. Brother to Bassim Petros, and the late Peter and Samir Petros. Proud grandfather to Simon and Andrew.
elevated gAwhf Dr. Sabah Petros specialized in Radiology and ultrasound. He has written in national and international journals in Arabic countries, England, France, Belgium, United States, India, and Japan numerous articles on Radiology and Ultrasound. He had a love for classical music and was a former member of the National Iraqi Symphony Orchestra (INSO) as a clarinet player.
elevated gAwhf In 2012, at the ripe age of 80, he decided to participate in the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Canada fundraiser for our Living Planet by climbing the CN Tower. He set the record for being the oldest person to climb 1,776 steps without ever stopping making headlines in a local newspaper for this great achievement.
