Bates (Clegg), Adele June – June 28, 1940 – December 15, 2022.
elevated 9RbMT It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother at the age of 82. She once again will be reunited with her loving husband, and love of her life, Terry Bates. Loving mother to her daughters, Kelly (Charlie), Dianne (Tom), Robin (Jim) and step-daughter Cheryl. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon and Madison. Dear sister to Vivian, Norma and the late Barbara and Jim . She will fondly missed by many nieces and nephews.
elevated 9RbMT Born in Toronto, Adele found comfort in her cottage at Balm Beach. This cottage of nearly 30 years also became her home. She enjoyed ceramics, line dancing, watercolour painting, and travel. Mom also loved her garden and gardening, in particular, roses and daisies. She enjoyed many trips abroad including Greece, Portugal and visiting Dianne and her family in Arizona. More recently, she took interest in her family history and learning more about her ancestors through the Ancestory App. Many of her best times involved her family, and friends particularly time spent at the cottage and the “The Place” in Balm Beach.
elevated 9RbMT Our mother has been welcomed into Heaven with arms wide open, but she will certainly leave an empty space in the hearts of those left here without her. May you be enjoying Happy Hour with Terry and dancing in Heaven! We will miss you!

I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. My father James Hillson was in Extendicare with her. We spent many an afternoon and evening chatting in dads room. I don’t think a day went by that she didn’t check on him for me and when I got there would give me a report. I continued to visit her periodically but due to covid was limited to the visits . She was a wonderful friend to my dad. God Bless her May she RIP but continue to dance everyday with Terry….will miss you my friend
