Dear family,
You have lost a caring , loving mother, but do not be overly sad. She gave you the best years of her life to become the great women you are today. She was so proud of her daughters and you in turn took good care of her. Today she is at rest , in the presence of her Maker and also reunited with the love of her life, your father. I am sure she and my husband are entertaining your Dad with the responsorial psalm they used to sing together at St. Mark’s. May she rest in peace with family and friends who predeceased her. Farewell dear friend.
Thinking of you and praying for your Moms eternal soul. She was such a vibrant lady and we always enjoyed her company when we visited you. She leaves a wonderful legacy within her family! RIP Catherine 🙏💖
We will miss seeing Katie, she always had a smile and was a loving friend and neighbour. We are thinking or all of your family in this difficult time. Love from Stephanie (Van Es) Michael, Lauren, Aidan and Jack
My deep condolences and it was a pleasure to know your Mom while she lived at the Gardens. Thinking of you and your loving relationship you had with your Mom, Anna-Marie. Big hugs to you and Stephanie and condolences to your family.
My deepest condolences, May the memories you shared. I was on the choir with her at St Mark’s parish and found her to be a very caring woman. May her soul rest in peace.
Please accept our condolences of your loss. Just enjoy the memories your mother left for you.
Take care.
Sincere condolences to you all. I will remember your mother fondly as she always had a smile on her face and kind words to offer. Also the many family gatherings we all shared. My love to you all.
Sylvia
We are sorry for your/our loss. Prior to moving to Parry Sound, Catherine, (Katy) lived in our condo building just across the hall. We knew her to be a very loving, sharing person, with an infectious smile and a story for any and every occasion. She was well liked by all. We often shared meals together and her cooking and recipes were excellent. She gave us many great memories. When she was happy she made you be happy too. In short we loved Katy as a very special and wonderful neighbour. She’ll be in Heaven for sure. 💕

We share your loss and heavy hearts at this time
Someone wise once said
“Our children are a message we send to a time and place we will never see”
Your Mother was a rare gem and a hero to many but it was clear her family meant everything to her. The immense pride and profound love she had for her girls showed in her beautiful face and that light will live on in you. Her faith filled personal and spiritual journey was spent through the years in kindness, compassion generosity and you just couldn’t help but feel good in her company.
We hope you’ll find the peace and comfort you need knowing her prayers were answered and her longing to be with your Dad is now complete. They are united again for eternity.
At St Mark’s in Stouffville we were delighted to welcome Katie when she joined our choir. Her beautiful, angelic soprano voice was remarkable and Sunday masses were always more meaningful when celebrated and harmonizing with each and every other choral voice. On special occasions Catherine would join Joe Schwarzli in a Psalm or Hymn and their blended voices were heavenly.
Her light will never be extinguished by all who knew and loved her
God Speed Katie. Be Free

We were saddened to hear of the passing of your Dear Mum. Please accept our sincere condolences.
My Memories of your Mum goes back to Marktl in Bavaria, and when we (the Rösner family) arrived in Toronto in 1952 your Mum was part of the welcoming party with her sunny smile and a warm hug.
It is so hard to lose someone you love, just know the love goes on.
Thinking of you all.
My cousin Katy and I were born the same year in 1937, in a small town in Romania. My grandmother was a Ruppert.
To escape from being captured by the Russians, we all fled to Germany. Without a future in Germany, we came to Canada.
Our family rented a place in Toronto from the Hebers, who had a son named Tony. I remember Katy meeting Tony at St. Patrick’s Church and shortly thereafter, they were married.
Like my family, they moved to the Holland Marsh, and your three beautiful girls were born. Katy was such a loving and devoted mother.
We are so sorry for your loss and will keep you in our hearts and prayers.
Until we meet again,
Love,
Helmut & Barbara Schankula.
It is with great sadness to hear the unexpected passing of your mom, Kathie. I knew her as a kid growing up in Germany after we fled our hometown, Traunau Romania, in 1944, by horse and wagon through Hungary, Austria, and after a 6-month lay over, on to Germany and the western allies and freedom. Your mom’s family and mine ended up 5 km from each other in southern Germany, in Bavaria–she in Marktl, 5 km from my town of Schildthurn. We both grew up as teenagers there, and visited each other often. I especially remember how I had to go to the dentist in Marktl, whose practise was in the same building that your mom lived in. I remember fondly how Kathie used to console me, helping me believe it doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t hurt, as there was no anesthetic available at that time. After many times of trying to get a visa, Kathie was finally able to emigrate to Canada 3-4 years later, and we followed 3-4 years after that. Somehow Kathie & your dad, Tony, ended up in Toronto and I in Niagara Falls. We both went on with our lives, but kept our friendship intact all those years. We had great times together. I will miss that smile Kathie: Rest in Peace. Love, Joe, Irma, Gary, & Tim
Dear Anna-Marie and family. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. You could not have given more love and support.
Reading through these loving messages allows her robust and caring nature as well as her passions to shine through.
You are all a credit to her and her zest for life and she will live on in your memory and in the stories you share.
We are thinking of you and sending you much love.
Loss is made endurable by love…and love will echo through eternity.

Anna-Maria, Kathy and Caroline, we were so sad to hear about your mom’s passing. Katie Tante often called us to ask about our mom or just to say hello. She was a wonderful baker and we always looked forward to her treats at family events.
Our deepest condolences on the loss of a wonderful woman. We send our love and prayers to the whole family. Hilda and Bill Hammond
Anna-Marie, Kathy & Caroline, please accept my deepest regrets at the passing of your Mother. I did not know her exceptional well, but I do remember how she always had a smile on her face! May all your memories carry you though this difficult time.

Dear Anna-Marie, Kathy, Caroline and families,
We were very saddened to hear of your mother’s recent death. As you know, your mother was a cousin of our late father, Tony Eichhorn and our families all immigrated to Canada from Taunau, Romania after the War. We all ended up farming in the Holland Marsh and remained close for several years. We have many happy memories of your mother and father and you girls over the years. Your mother was a kind and loving woman and will be missed by any one who knew her.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
