elevated nC5Ya Maria Pui-Yuk Tam Suen (Oct 20, 1918 – April 12, 2023) passed peacefully at home, with her family by her side. She was survived by two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
elevated nC5Ya Born in a big family in Foshan, China, she was married and moved to Hong Kong at the age of 18, survived the Japanese invasion during World World II. She raised six children before migrating to Canada to join one of her married daughters at the age of 62. In the following 20 years, she continued to support her three daughters in Canada and help nurtured their children until the youngest grand daughter was in high school. At the age of 82, she and her husband moved to live in an assisted living building. She enjoyed many hobby classes there like play marjong, bingo and tai chi, travelled extensively with her
children and grandchildren until the age of 98. She remained exceptionally healthy until the very end.
elevated nC5Ya Her children and grand children are forever grateful of having such a kind, wise, positive, understanding and devoted mother and grand mother who demonstrate what altruistic love is, and what it means to live life to the fullest.

I am very thankful to meet such a kind gracious lady although the time I knowing her wasn’t that long Mrs Shuen was really a remarkable women may her rest In Peace surely will be deeply missed my condolences to her family
