elevated tHm5w Obituary

elevated tHm5w God called Carlo Persechini peacefully on June 23, 2023 at the age of 95.  He is now reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Amelia (Lina).  He will be forever cherished by his three children Oriana (Joe), Stefano (Luciana) and Rosa (Rob).  He was a proud Nonno to Lucas, Emily, Matthew and Rachel, and his love and life lessons will continue to guide them throughout their lives.  He will be forever held dear in the hearts of his family, many relatives and friends.

elevated tHm5w Carlo’s guiding light throughout his life was his family.  Every decision he made was to support his immediate and extended family from leaving Sant’Elia Fiumerapido, Frosinone, Italy to work in Bern, Switzerland at the young age of 20, or his decision to immigrate to Canada in 1954 to create a better life for his family.  His determination, perseverance, and strong work ethic allowed him to build a successful life in Canada through his 25 years at Ford Motor Company and his entrepreneurial pursuits.

elevated tHm5w Carlo was loved and respected by all who knew him. His outgoing personality, warm smile and quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone around him.  He was a lifelong learner who never missed an opportunity to make new friends and learn from others’ experiences and wisdom. He was happiest working in his expansive garden in the summer and in his self-made greenhouse in the winter.  He proudly and generously shared the fruits of his labour with anyone who would visit the home he built in Thornhill, Ontario.

elevated tHm5w He will forever be our incredible role model and his spirit will live on in our hearts as he rests with God.  As Carlo used to say in every goodbye message “Dio Benedica/God Bless”.

elevated tHm5w A special thank you to his home caregiver, Crescel, whose care and companionship these past 2 years allowed Carlo to stay in his “home my sweet home”.

elevated tHm5w As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Carlo Persechini’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. http://www.heartandstroke.ca
