elevated 2kOKq Obituary

elevated 2kOKq It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George V. Pinto on November 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 92. George was born in St Mathias, Goa on April 19, 1931, and upon his graduation embarked on a career in Banking. His banking career took him to Tanzania in East Africa, and then to Bahrain in the Middle East before he retired to Richmond Hill, Canada to be closer to his children and among many relatives and friends. He enjoyed his experiences of living in multiple countries with varied and unique sights, sounds, and customs. George enjoyed many hobbies including soccer, swimming, fishing, music and was a keen photographer. He also devoted his free time to woodworking and enjoyed various handyman projects for as long as he was physically able. Parkinson’s disease gradually diminished his physical abilities for the last ten years of his life, but he remained an optimist to the end.  George was an active member of his church and in particular the Knights of Columbus. George enjoyed spending time with his family and took great delight in his grandchildren. George gave unconditionally to his family putting them first and sacrificing greatly to give them a better life. Beloved husband of 62 years to Ana. Caring and devoted father to Brian (Becky), Connie (Januario), Roque (Lisa) and Ginny (Edward). Proud Grampy/Grandpa to Edward, Laura, Nicholas, Sophia, William and Gianluca. George will be remembered in the hearts of many families and friends.
