It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Francesca Mariani on January 25, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore (2019) for 69 wonderful years. Loving mother of Dominic (Lia), Perry (Angie), Joe (Anna), Julia (Corrado) and Tony (Carol). Predeceased by daughter-in-law Ornella. Francesca was the adored youngest daughter of Antonio and Concetta Tari. She was born in Terelle, Frosinone, Italy and immigrated to Canada with her husband and 2 young sons in 1953. Three more children were born in Canada and she became a proud matriarch of her large family in Toronto where she hosted the most wonderful holiday gatherings as well as delicious family meals every Sunday afternoon. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
