Rest in peace, Fr. Fred.
You will always be remembered, thank you for your many years of service to the church, at the many parishes and the hospital ministry at Trillium Health where you’ve touched the lives of many during their journey of illness and healing.

To the family and friends of Father Manfred (Fr. Fred) Schmid. I remember Fr. Fred from St. John Vianney, with fondness and respect. He was kind and understanding but also had a no nonsense way with his advice and guidance. I always appreciate his honesty. God bless you, Fr. Fred. May you rest in the Peace of our Loving Father.
In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our brother, Fr. Manfred Schmid. In this life you embraced him with your tender love, deliver Fr. Manfred now from every evil and bid him eternal rest. The old order has passed away: welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
