Dear Marg & family
I am deeply saddened for loss of your Mike. He was a wonderful guy & I know always a big hi & a smile. I am happy I was able to cross paths with him in my life . I so enjoyed seeing you both. I will be thinking of you Marg & hope you will visit the Valley 💗
Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mike. Mike was one of the Firefighters I looked up to when I started in 1981. Always a well respected firefighter and gentleman who was smiling and represented the Fire Service as good as anyone. The last time I talked with Mike was at the Newmarket Retired Firefighter breakfast a few yrs ago and we all enjoyed his company. Rest in eternal peace Brother Longo.
Our sincere condolences Marg and family. Mike was a wonderful man and we were lucky to spend some memorable times in Florida together with you both. He will be missed. Greg and Nina Barnes
With saddened hearts, Kevin and I wish extend our deepest sympathy.
I think about the fun times we had on cruises and in Los Vegas and other good times we had in the past. Mike was a great man and loved by all. He was always smiling.
To the Longo Family – I always told M and M that if anything happened to the 4 of us, our spirits would meet at Holy Cross as Kevin and I have a place there as well. We could always resume the
card games we played so often in years past only this time underground. We will miss you forever.
Further more, I will never forget Mike and it just so happened that he passed away on my birthday.
Marg & Family

I met Mike Longo when I was with Toronto EMS.
He and his crew were always having a fun time serving and looking after the citizens in Regent park.
He convinced me to apply to Toronto fire, and made a career change, that I’m so grateful for!
He showed me the importance of respect, care, and compassion for the people of Toronto.
I will always be grateful.
Several years after being hired by Toronto Fire, I had the opportunity to work with him on his truck. We was such a great captain. He was experienced and well respected. He cared about his crew and was a real gentleman and mentor to many including myself.
Im so happy that I had the chance to Thank him, and explain what a wonderful thing he had done for me. Like many people who have know him, Mike has always made our lives better being around him.
Warmest wishes and blessings to his family and friends
Marg and kids: Ginny and I were saddened to hear of Mike’s death. The Longo’s were one of several neighbors we were blessed to have across the driveway on Donlea. At times like this, we remember the many driveway conversations, joint garage sales and the observation of kids growing up and acquiring significant others and their own kids. Mike always had a cheery greeting and conversation for us even as we both commiserated about life’s challenges.
I know Aaron always admired Mike’s level of physical fitness.
I hope the many memories you have of him can sustain you through these difficult times.
Dear Marg and family, we are sending prayers and love to you and wishing you healing and peace. I always enjoyed when all the family would get together and reconnecting, sharing stories from over and the years. I as one of the youngest cousins relied on the older ones for information. I remember Michael when he lived at our house on Epsom Downs and I would sit on the basement stairs and talk to him. Then when he needed me to leave he would send off with a candy. Michael always had a smile and I will keep that memory of him always. 🙏🏻❤️
My deepest sympathy.
I started with Toronto Fire in 1995. Mike was a true mentor and inspiration to me. His sense of humor, care for his fellow firefighters and commitment to this time honored profession was always top notch.
I will always have his spirit to look up to.
My lovely Godfather. What an amazing man. Will always remember how much he loved a good time. But above all else he loved his family fiercely. Thinking of them every day as they deal with such a loss.

Margaret and Family
The longer we live, the more we learn – yet all our experience doesn’t really seem to help when it comes to the loss of someone we care about. At this difficult time, keep the memories of Mike in your heart to carry you during your darkest hours; and he will live on in your memories today, tomorrow and beyond.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Marg,

Marg and Family, Mike and I were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Michael. He was a fun and favourite cousin and a good man. We bragged to everyone that we had a cousin who was a Fire Chief. I have many kid memories of when we were at their house in the early days of Rose and Mike.
Cherish your memories they will bring you fleeting moments of peace and a smile. We wish you strength, sunshine to brighten your days ahead and the love of family.
