elevated R0yCP The world lost a beloved mother, Heidi Cerdan Malana, on January 20, 2024. Our mom battled breast cancer but it never stopped her from giving out the warmest smiles to whoever she met. Mom joined our Lord in the Philippines, her birth place, at the age of 62 with her husband, Roger Malana, by her side and her daughters, Erika and Monica Malana, on video call. She was born in Pangasinan, Philippines on January 10, 1962. She was the accountant of the family at an early age of 10 because she was her father, Cesar Cerdan’s, favorite and was the pride and joy of her mother, Mary Cerdan, when she became the doctor of the family with a love of skin care. Not surprisingly, she was the most financially adept and at the same time (and in the most endearing way), the most vain woman we knew.
elevated R0yCP She was a loving sister to Joey and Carlos Cerdan and Louella Castillo and adored by her patients and co-workers. Above all, she was a mother through and through and was treated as such by her nieces, nephews, and friends of her daughters. She was known for her warmth, kindness, selflessness, and impeccable listening and advice-giving skills to anyone lucky enough to come to her in need of help.
elevated R0yCP She left this world too soon and she will be sorely missed. Friends and family are invited to say a final goodbye to Heidi in the Funeral Home Chapel at Catholic Cremation Services at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga) on February 23 from 4 to 8 pm and February 24 from 9 to 10 am with a Funeral Service and burial to follow.

Heidi Cerdan -Malana as my childhood friend was jolly, kindhearted, and forward-looking.We shared the same stories and laughed at these to our hearts’ delight.She will forever stay in my heart. Goodbye for now ,amiga.

Though you’re gone, you’re still remembered. It is very painful to lose you, my friend. However, you will always be a part of my heart and thoughts. We know losing a loved one can be extremely challenging, and today we are here to pay our respects and celebrate the life of Heidi. Her departure has created an emptiness in our lives, but we take solace in the fact that we will always cherish her in our hearts. Her life was a source of inspiration to all of us, filled with happiness, compassion, and selflessness.
