elevated hKuQr It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Di Bratto Family announce the passing of Dolores (Addolorata) Di Bratto (nee Lastoria). Dolores will be greatly missed as a devoted wife to Onorato Di Bratto for 52 years; proud Mother of Salvatore, Isabella and Elora (James); most loving Nonna to Caprese and Sienna Aspin, and Pierce Di Bratto; and lovely sister to the late Nicolino (Genoeffa), Tonino (late Vincenza), Vincenzina (late Venerino), and Maria (Nick).
elevated hKuQr Dolores was born on October 23, 1936, in Civitanova Del Sannio, Isernia, Italy, and daughter of Giovanni and Maria Felicia Lastoria. She immigrated to Canada on June 9, 1959, and grew up as a ‘jill of all trades’, working as a seamstress, and a trusted babysitter over the years.
elevated hKuQr Beautiful Dolores devoted her life to her faith and family. She was one of a kind with the biggest heart of gold. She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, an unending generosity, kindness, and finding humour in everyday life. Her happy place was in the garden and growing the most beautiful flowers, cooking and baking in the kitchen and making the most delicious biscotti, cookies, and meals. Dolores will also be remembered for her storytelling, lighting up a room with her smile, and making everyone she met feel at home.
Dolores touched the lives of many people.
Our family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.

Dear uncle, dear cousins,
we are so sad to hear of the loss of Aunt Dolores.
May our condolences bring you some comfort in this difficult moment.
A big hug.
Monica, Gianluca and Ines
So sorry to hear this news. I will always remember her as the Nonna next door, always in the garden, and offering treats. She watched me and my sister grow up as our neighbour, and got to meet my children. She loved kids and I know she is well remembered by those she babysat over the years. Sending love to the family, rest in peace.
I grew up and lived next door to Dolores and the Di Bratto family for more than half of my life. She was a strong, wonderful, woman with a beautiful heart (and garden). Sending my deepest condolences and remembering her fondly.
Yesterday the gates of heaven opened wide for my beloved Dolores – may God give her grace filled soul eternal rest. She truly touched many lives and left behind a legacy of wonderful memories full of love, friendship and laughter in the hearts of each person that came into her life. Her strength and courage throughout her life were admirable and her light will shine on.
My sincere and most heartfelt condolences to the whole family!

Sending our deepest condolences to the Di Bratto family .We are so sorry to hear this news. Delores was such a lovely person who always took the time to stop and say hello to both Ivan and I. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time🙏
My deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
If I had to describe my Mom in one word it would be strength! I believe her strength came from God and her faith. Her heart was pure, beautiful and selfless. I admire her beauty, her talents and most of all her passion to be strong. She lived for her children and grandchildren. If I learnt anything from my Mom is to have peace. She always told me fare la pace. Mom, today I’m at peace that you’re no longer suffering. I’m happy that you are now with your Mom and I can’t wait until I’m with you again.
Love you
My memory of Zia will always be her dancing. My mom (late Lina Palazzo nee Lastoria) her cousin had a get together at the house and she was full of life and dancing up a storm. That is how I remember her. When I was little for me she was the cool zia. I have not seen her in years and my heart is full of sorrow for her passing. She is now in heaven with my mom for sure dancing up a storm. May all of you find comfort in the loving memories. May she rest in eternal peace.
Mom, You witnessed my first breath and I witnessed your last. My heart will have a hole now that will never be full. I was blessed to call you my Mom. You have taught me so much and your strength I admire amongst endless qualities you possess. You are so beautiful inside and out, I will miss talking to you every day, and seeing your smile and your delicious food and your funny remarks. You always had the right words to say to me that made life better. Your faith and love for my family will never be forgotten. Heaven is lucky to have you as one of their angels and now you can be with your mom and all who have departed. Please come visit me, I will be happy if you do. I will miss you every day until we meet again;
I love you mom ❤️🕊️✨

Cathy Stott (Ryan & James) mom.
Zia,
So many of my best childhood memories are of sitting around your table enjoying whatever deliciousness you had prepared. My first taste of wine was at your table and no, it tasted nothing like grape juice but I still think of you any time I raise a glass of red. I never learned how to speak Italian but, I did learn how to speak ‘Zia’ and it was the most beautiful because it was you. I will miss your hugs and our visits. Love you now and forever, Zia.
We extend our sincerest sympathies to Onorato and the entire family on the passing of Dolores, a beautiful lady. May the angels guide her to the Lord’s perpetual light.
With deepest condolences,
Dominic & Rita Mazzotta
