It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Quan in Toronto at the age of 74. He was born in Haiphong, Vietnam to Cai Yan and Lai Yui.
elevated WGCXM Stephen was a devoted Husband of 48 wonderful years to Lora (nee Lee) who on October 4th,1975 was married in Toronto.
elevated WGCXM Loving Father to Derek (Cynthia) and Cheryl (Desmond). Adored Grandpa (爺爺 and 公公) to Caris, Miles, Dayna and Emme. Survived by his brother and sisters Elcie, Grace, Dorothy, Albert and Diana. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Qu Nan, Van Hanh, Rosemary and Alex.
elevated WGCXM Stephen’s life was one filled with love for his family, his many friends, and for those whose lives he touched. He enjoyed traveling to warm destinations and having dim sum and coffee with friends. His captivating stories created smiles, laughter, tears, and inspiration for his family and everyone he met. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all.

I knew Stephen from his years at the University of Manitoba. He was a lively and fun study partner who always had great ideas for activities with friends. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was a lovely, caring man. I extend my condolences to his family and colleagues. May he rest in peace.
