elevated ukyAa Obituary
It is with sorrow and trust in God that we say goodbye to beautiful Anna. She lived her life of 94 years with great faith and tenacity and will be remembered always for her warm heart and gentle humility. Being raised on a farm in Croatia along with her 6 siblings must have resulted in her seemingly unlimited endurance which she later channeled into her spectacular gardening, cooking and baking. Sweethearts Anna and Toni married in 1962 and lived in Toronto where they raised their family and she worked as a lab technician. They spent many fun-filled family vacations in Croatia and Florida and in their retirement years delighted in many winters, along with friends, in the warmth of Florida. With the loss of her dear husband she opened a new chapter, joining her daughter’s household in Richmond Hill which was a blessing all around. She remained very active until recently, driving to church daily and participating in prayer groups with her treasured fellow parishoners.
elevated ukyAa Anna was predeceased by her loving husband Toni and dear son Ed. She will be greatly missed by beloved daughter Sue (Angelo) and daughter-in-law Kathryn. She was a source of immense love and inspiration to all. Adoring Baka to Steven, Trevor, Shayne and Anika. Cherished by all of her family back home in Croatia.
elevated ukyAa Anna fought bravely in the face of her recent illness and with the compassionate guidance of the Southlake Palliative Team was cared for at home until her last day when she passed peacefully into heaven from Hillhouse Hospice on May 4, 2024.
elevated ukyAa Anna’s strength, love and sweetness remains in our hearts forever.

I only met her once but it was easy to see her beautiful soul.
Sending my sincere condolences to the family.
Anika, you were a light in the lives of everyone who knew you. You were an amazing source of faith and courage in times of hardship. You were there for me when I went through many trials of my life and never let me lose my focus on Christ and our Lady. Thank you for the gift of YOU…A women even more beautiful on the inside than the outside. You inspire me to want to be a better person every day.
I will miss your smile, your loving and caring blue eyes, your gentle and calm nature, your amazing cookies, your wisdom and so much more. I love you, always. Your sister in Christ. Nadine ❤️
So sorry to hear about your dear mother! May she rest in peace.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to you and family.
