elevated ystrn Obituary
Caterina Caponi passed away peacefully in Vaughan at the age of 90. She was born in Santa Lucia del Mela, Sicily to Vincenzo and Angela Pulito (nee D’Salvatore). She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Orazio, in 2010 and predeceased by her 9 siblings. She is survived by her loving daughters Mary (Peter), Rita (Mike) and Christine. Proud Nonna to Brittany (Santino), Samantha, Thomas, Avielle and Camille.
elevated ystrn Like many of her generation, the greatest legacy she leaves is teaching us that life’s most beautiful moments are found in the simplest of gestures; a caring approach, a smile and always making time to be with friends and family. Caterina had an entrepreneur spirit having owned a pizza shop. She was a great cook and gardener, and volunteered with the City of Vaughan and CHATS. Caterina will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all.
elevated ystrn The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff of Hospice Vaughan for all of their care and unfailing kindness.
elevated ystrn In memory of our mother, please consider a donation to Hospice Vaughan or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Caterina leaves a sense of emptiness mixed with great affection. Happy to have met her and received so much affection in a short time. I was little when in 1999 I met her together with dear Orazio and all the relatives. I send a warm hug of condolence to everyone, especially to the sweetest Brittany and dear Christine. I will always remember with affection a person to whom I will never stop loving.. Have a good trip from your Italy 🇮🇹
