elevated jaCeP On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 77, Gail “Torchy” Ciciretto peacefully passed away. Mourning her passing are Gail’s beloved husband, of 58 years, Angelo Ciciretto, their three children – Lisa (John Valiquette), Michael (Tanya) and Jason (Lesley), and grandchildren – Jessalyn Moore, Aaron Moore, Graham Valiquette, Aleah Ciciretto, Cleo Ciciretto, Matteo Ciciretto and Maryse Ciciretto. Gail is also survived by her sisters Susan Mortimer (decd. Eric), and Deb Panchuk (Larry), and will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law’s – Angela Colangelo (decd. Fred) and Coreen Colangelo (decd. Pat), and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
elevated jaCeP Gail wore many hats as a devoted wife, mother, Grammy, sister, Aunt and friend. Truly living life to the fullest, Gail will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, sense of humour, hospitality, and cooking. Whether it was at home, their cottage on Moon Island or winter home in Fort Myers, Gail was always her happiest when enjoying time with family and friends. Gail loved animals, her multiple fur babies, music, travel, being by the water, fishing and cheering on her Toronto Blue Jays.
elevated jaCeP Her love for hosting family and friends will be honoured on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 6-8 pm when the family receives visitors at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, ON); and a service and luncheon to celebrate and commemorate Gail’s life will follow on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 12 pm. An intimate internment to honour Gail will be held at a later date with immediate family only.

I will always remember my sister as being kind, Generous, thoughtful and caring. She always lent me her ear when I needed someone to Talk to. Gail’s generosity also was there when I needed help. I will miss my big sister terribly. Until we meet again just know I love you with all my heart.
Sisters share a bond like no other, both on earth and in heaven, Auntie Sue.♥️

My “Aunt” Gail was always like a big Sister to me as we are only 7 years apart. I had many significant life experiences with her and Angelo over the years at both their home in Oshawa and the cottages. It was at Lake in 1969 that I had my first girlfriend Pam(we were 14) and watched the first moon landing. I learned to fish, enjoy life and value family. I looked after the kids in Oshawa with my wife Judy and found out that Michael doesn’t sleep! Gary and I have lived far away from Toronto for over 50 years, however, our ties are still very strong with family and lifelong friends. Gail and Angelo were among those friends and although not seeing them often when a friend passes, it does strike home and our hearts.
Our very best to Angelo and his family and although difficult, be strong as we are sure Gail would want. We are sorry not being able to be there.

Dear Uncle Angelo, Lisa, Mike, Jason and the entire family–
Words cannot begin to describe our sadness of losing our wonderful Aunt Gail. She was such a ray of sunshine–kind, loving, funny and such a joy to be around. We will always remember her laugh and how great she made us feel just being with her.

To Angelo and all his family, I am very sorry for your loss of your dear wife Gail, I remember her well, we once went to a New Year Party, with my wife and Dions sisters and did a vacation in the Domenican Republic all four couples in 2003, Gail was a wonderful women she was all about others, not herself,loved life, may Gail be blessed and find peace.
