elevated u4jiB Obituary
elevated u4jiB It is with much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Lamb on July 31, 2024. Dorothy was born June 19th, 1923 to Mabel and George Reinhart in Branford, Ontario.
elevated u4jiB Dorothy married John (Jack) Lamb from Wingham on October 6, 1945 and they had two children David and Nancy. Dorothy worked for the TD Bank for over 30 years first as a teller and ending her career as Administrative Officer for Corporate Accounts at Head Office. She thrived on the challenges the banking world offered her and she enjoyed working closely with her colleagues to improve service for their clients.
elevated u4jiB Dorothy loved to needlepoint, knit and sew. To this day, there are many sweaters, afghans and samplers circulating among family and friends. Dorothy also loved to write…whether short stories, trip journals or poems. She was most proud of her poems The Last Ballad and Turning 80.
elevated u4jiB Dorothy had a deep faith and believed in giving back to the community. Through her church, Dorothy organized many clothing drives, bake sales, bazaars and card parties to help those in need. She was the president of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine’s CWL for over 25 yrs, began their Senior’s Club in 1987 and served as president on the Board of Directors for her condo for many years. In 1997, Dorothy was awarded the Scarborough Volunteer Recognition Award for giving of her time and talent to her community. Dorothy’s favourite place to be with family and friends was Southampton, Ontario. Dorothy and Jack started summering there in 1956 and it was their weekend and summer destination until Jack’s death in 1977.
elevated u4jiB Dorothy happily continued this tradition with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom, was deeply loved and will be missed by her daughter Nancy, son-in-law Ron and daughter-in-law Anita. Nancy, Ron and family, thinking of you at this sad time. Beautiful to see a life so well lived and then so well cared for by her loving and appreciative family.
Love & Peace, Una
Nancy, Ron and family.
Dorothy was a very special lady and lottery winner, who lived a full life and loving cousin to my mother, the late Margaret Murray (Jackson).

Doug and I will have you in our thoughts during this difficult time. Much love and peace to you all.
Nancy, it was wonderful to grow up next door to your mother and the Lamb family. Your mom and my mom would talk for hours. We always looked forward to your mom’s baked goods. Much love and sympathy from David, Maria, Lisa and Sean.
My childhood memories are filled with wonderful Jackson family Christmas day gatherings with the Lamb family. Your Mom was a gem, so full of life and energy and giving to her community. Much love
Mary Elaine, Cliff and family
