Wee woy
Although I don’t t remember calling your dad “wee woy”, I have been reminded of that on a regular basis over the years, and as a very little girl, I would wait for him to come home from work to say hi to him.
On one particular occasion I missed him coming home, so I ran into the house, found him in the shower and yelled into the bathroom “hi wee woy!!!!” (so embarrassing). I’ll never forget being reminded of that over the years.
Lee was always tinkering around the house doing odd jobs, but it was his love for cars, that I remember most, as he was always working on a special one in his garage.
Your dad will always hold a special place in my heart especially when I became a single parent. … he was always there for me, cutting my lawn and teaching me how to care for my lawn mower, amongst other mechanical things.
I grew up with both your mom and dad and they became not only great neighbours, but friends who both will hold a very special place in my heart.
With love Peggy❤️🐾
We will miss Uncle Gardner!
We have been fortunate to know you since 2005, but it feels much longer. You were more than a neighbor to us, you were like a grandfather figure to Zeal and I. We have learned a lot from you over the years. Your love for gardening was impressive- we were always mesmerized by your perfect green grass and perfectly trimmed bushes! You were a helping hand to all the neighbors. Thank you for being available for advice and allowing us to borrow your tools.
Over the past few years, it was heartbreaking to see you unable to get out of your home to do the things you loved to do because of your health. We will continue to cherish the wonderful times we spent together. You will be dearly missed!
With lots of love,
Desai Family
Leroy truly was a great neighbour. He would fill us in on most of the neighbours in our section of SGC. He seemed to know everyone.
Like others have indicated above, he was available to give advice, contractor contacts, even arranging for lawn aeration for all of us each year.
We will miss waving at him when he was able to get out and wee chats we had over the years.
