It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the passing of Lucy Jenkins (nee Gurrieri) on October 18, 2024, at Mount Sinai Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Reunited in Heaven with her caring parents Luigi & Giuseppina. Loving wife of Miles. Beloved mother of Mary (Brad) and Nicole (Matt). Proud Nonna of Malcolm. Adored sister of Joe (Lucy), Virginia (late Joe) and Sam (Teresa). Lucy will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered.
Your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Lucy Jenkins can be made to Girl Guides of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, or Sick Kids Hospital.
There are no words to express the sadness felt with Lucy’s loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers
Memories I often feel nostalgia about, being so far from home, are of times spent with Zia Lucy and the whole family on holidays and special occasions. While Zia may no longer be with us in person, those memories of her will continue to last forever and bring warmth to my heart.
I was shocked and heart broken to hear the sad news of Lucy’s passing. I will miss the numerous chats we had about our wonderful grandson. Since meeting Mary, you have welcomed us into your family and made us part of your wonderful family. Thank you dear Lucy. I’ll miss you very much. You’ll always be in my thoughts.
I met Lucy many times on ladies Guiding weekends and she was so warm and welcoming. I hold her in my heart.
I am saddened to learn of Lucy’s passing. She was an amazing friend and I know how much she loved and was loved by her family. Her smile and enduring happiness will be missed by everyone. May her family be spared any further sorrow

Our sincerest condolences to Miles, Nicole, Mary and their families. Peter and I were shocked to hear the sad news about Lucy. We would talk about our guiding experiences when she came to visit her mom and dad. Our sympathy goes out to Joe and Lucy, Virginia, Sam and Teresa and their respective families. She was a loving and caring sister, aunt mother and wife and friend. She had a generous spirit and will be dearly missed.

Lucy was loved and respected by me and all of her Jenkins in-laws. For many, many years I looked forward to her visits to Saskatchewan. She had a fierce commitment to family.
Lucy’s lively spirit and sense of humour made her a joy to be with at a family wedding in Mexico. She was always warm, welcoming and hospitable when we visited Toronto. A woman of strength, courage, integrity and dignity to the end.
