elevated g4wii Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce our dear wife, mother and grandmother (Nanna) Nina passed away in Peterborough with family by her side at the age of 91. She was born in Tarxien Malta to Felix and Inez Ebejer (nee Degiorgio). In the mid-fifties, along with her husband and young family, she immigrated to Canada to start a new and prosperous life and grow her loving family.
elevated g4wii Beloved wife of Carmelo for 74 years. Loving mother to Joseph (Mariola), William (Nancy- deceased), Dorothy (George), David (Lise) and Randy (Lisa). Cherished grandmother (Nanna) of 10 grandchildren and great grandmother of 11 great grandchildren.
elevated g4wii Nina’s life was one filled with love for her family, her many friends and for those whose lives she touched. A deeply caring woman and someone who valued helping others over her own needs, she pursued every challenge in life with compassion and determination to help. Her selflessness was no better seen than through the love and sacrifice she gave to her husband right to the end and her children throughout her life. She dedicated thousands of volunteer hours helping with the Meals on Wheels, church bazars and knitting hundreds of children clothes for the less fortunate. Her strong faith in the Catholic Church allowed her to give us strength and courage.

Mom
We will miss you so much. Your caring and thoughtful ways were next to none. You taught us how to care, love and forgive in not so much words but through your actions. Even while being by your side till the end you continued to demonstrate how one should be resilient.
Love you forever
Dave
My deepest sympathies…Sorry about tardy response, I rarely check my Facebook. Time passes fast especially as we get older. Makes us all appreciate the moment and live the day. Wishing the best.
Thinking of you especially today for your birthday, Grandma. I am so grateful to you for being an unmatched example of kindness and hope for me. I love you so much, and I look forward to when we meet again 💖
Love Beth.
Mom,
I can’t believe you’re gone. You were a source of love, compassion, and strength, always putting others first. I remember you teaching me how to knit clothes for those in need, showing me the importance of giving back. Your unwavering faith and dedication to our family defined your life. Your legacy of selflessness, love, and kindness will be cherished by all who knew you. Rest in peace, Mom. I will miss you dearly.
Your loving son,
Randy
Happy heavenly birthday Ma! Growing up we were so lucky to have had such a wonderful and caring mom to guide us through life and all its ups and downs. You always showed us the best of humanity and how unconditional love is supposed to look like. Thank you for all your support and kindness and keeping us close and bringing us all together At Christmas to celebrate at your loving home. In always be close in our hearts.
Grandma,
I miss and love you so much! Words cannot express the sadness I feel right now. When I was a child, you took care of me before and after school. I remember how kind and generous you were. You spent hours making me barbie clothes, a special handmade princess costume for Halloween, and a gorgeous knitted dress. There were scarves, hats, mittens, and slippers all made by you with love. You patiently taught me how to knit and crochet. Acts of kindness must have been your love language because I remember all the loving things you did for us. I was blessed to have gone on a trip with you and grandpa to Malta when I was a teenager. It was then that I got to meet your mother, my great grandmother. You taught me about the Catholic faith and my Maltese heritage. It is thanks to you that I have faith in God. You taught me how to say the rosary and how to pray. Your home was always a welcoming place that united family. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories. Happy heavenly birthday, grandma. Love your eldest granddaughter, Kathy
Nina
Your smile light up every room you entered! You brought so much joy and love to our family, we created so many wonderful memories together that I will fondly cherish . I will keep you forever in my heart!
Your loving daughter-in-law.

Dear Zija Nina,
I will miss the visits we had growing up, especially around Christmas and New Year’s. The smiles, laughter and warm welcome we always received. May you rest in peace.
Lots of love.
Our hearts go out to all the Grixti family. I have nothing but fond memories of my aunt Nina, with whom we spent time in both Canada and Malta.
Mom I can’t imagine the rest of my life without your laughter and singing. From the time I could barely walk you encouraged me to be social. You made me join the Boy Scouts when I was 8 and I learned to love the outdoors. You were creative in so many ways. I remember entering a colouring contest for Easter and under your coaching I (I should say you) won the contest. You encouraged me to try new things like learning the accordion and took me to the local pastor to become an alter boy. Life as I know it will not be the same without you in it. The emptiness I feel is overwhelming. So until we meet again I will keep your memory in my heart. Rest in peace mom. I love you.
I knew Nina through my best friend Dorothy. She was a kind, caring and thoughtful person. R.i.p
✌️💖🕯️🙏
Dear mom-in-law
I have known you since I was 16 – I had just met Joe close to Christmas and you included me on your gift list, that was so thoughtful and memorable to this day.
You have always made sure that everyone’s Birthday was celebrated as well as our wedding anniversaries.
You were always positive and happy. You always embraced technology and learning you loved to read. You loved having your family gathered around you. You helped take care of my children and when I had my gallbladder surgery you came and stayed with us for a week to help out. Your acts of kindness are appreciated and treasured.
I will miss your smile, rest in peace Angel Nina
With love,
Mariola
Nina,
From the day at 14 years old when I met your son you welcomed me and my family as your family. There are countless memories of you both large and small that I will always hold dear to my heart.
Your warmth, compassion, open heart, kindness, and laughter is how I’ll always remember you.
You left a wonderful legacy behind that I know you are greatly proud of.
I will miss you always.
Your loving daughter-in-law,
Lisa
Grandma, I feel lucky to have spent a good portion of my childhood and then young adulthood with you. When I was a small child, you kept me out of harms way, taught me the value of helping others and inspired me to be crafty like you. When I was in university, you became a friend and confident…someone I could talk to about many things. My favourite moments were the times we sat on the sofa or at the dining room table chatting while sipping cups of perfectly steeped tea. I was usually on a study break and just being in your company would calm my nerves. Living with you and grandpa was such a positive and heart-warming experience. It’s hard to explain but we were like three peas in a pod. I will always cherish those years and you. Thanks for being an inspiration to me. Wishing you eternal peace, love and happiness in the great beyond. With love, Jenny.
deepest condolences. I’ll never forget the time I was in the area and on a whim just showed up unannounced at her house. She welcomed me inside with open arms and we spent an hour chatting over tea. She had such a calm zen air about her in all her dealings, generously sharing her inner peace for all in her presence.
