It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of Walter George Fernandes on December 11, 2024, at his residence at the age of 63. Born on June 4, 1961, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in India. Reunited in Heaven with his caring parents Louis & Dulcine. Loving husband of Dora. Adored father of Shaun, Ian and Ryan. Fond step-son of Eliza. Beloved brother of Jenny (Peter). Proud uncle of Patricia and Cynera. Loving son in-law of Mina D’Souza. Caring brother in-law of Ashley (Lucy) and uncle of Rohit, Rahul and Reema. Walter will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

Dearest Theo Sean Ian and Ryan, I Marlene , Eugene Jason and Brendon are deeply saddened by the sudden passing away of your beloved Husband/Dad. I’m so sorry to hear of Walter’s passing. I’ve been going to Amica for over 2 years to visit my mom. He was excellent with the seniors and knew how to lift their spirits and brighten their days. He will be deeply missed at Amica as he was a real GEM. My sincere condolences to the family.

My mom and I were so saddened to hear the news of Walter’s passing. Mom lives at Amica in Pickering and Walter was her favourite member of the dining room team. I enjoyed seeing Walter when I stayed for dinner. He was always smiling and stopped by to say hello. He treated everyone so well and made them feel special.
