It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Gianni “John” Velocci on January 26, 2025. Predeceased by his parents Clementina and Gerardo, his Father-In-Law John Munro and Brother-In-Law Murray Munro. He is survived by his beloved wife Heather (nee Munro), his children Nicholas (Ashley) and Julianna (Arnold), his brother Enzo (Dianna), his Mother-In-Law Mary-Lou Munro and Sister-In-Law Haydee Munro. John (Juncle John) will also be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as his extended family and friends. John’s sense of humour and optimism never left him during his courageous battle with cancer. Special thanks to Dr. Rabinovitch, Dr. Li and all the nurses at Mackenzie Health and Hospice Vaughan. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

I am truly saddened to hear of Gianni’s untimely passing. From the time I met him as a very young boy at his parents’s home to the present, Gianni was always an enthusiastic, fun-loving person with a wonderful sense of humour.I will miss him.
During this time of tremendous loss and grief my thoughts and prayers are with him and the entire family. May he rest in perpetual peace.

Johnny, I Just Found out today you passed away man. Damn, it was such a shock man to find this out. I remember all the long philosophical conversations we had working together at the City of Richmond Hill and you gave me a lot of good insights on life.
Oh and I remember the last time I saw you. I told you I was going to have a baby, we had a son and his name was Roman. Anyways Johnny you will be missed brother…Until we meet again.
My sincere condolences to John’s family. Had the pleasure of working with John in Richmond Hill. He will be missed by many, a great person who was always happy no matter what, and a very talented artist. My thoughts are with everyone.

You made John’s biweekly treatments bearable. As much as he hated the chemo he did enjoy talking with you, Nesh, Bonnie and the other nurses. Thank you so much for your compassionate treatment. I will never forget your kindness.
