elevated kVend Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Anna Canale-Parola, who left us on February 12, 2025, at 90.
elevated kVend Born in La Radicosa, San Vittore del Lazio, Italy, Anna built a life defined by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. In 1958, she immigrated to Canada with her husband, Silvio, and their eldest daughter, Maria, forging a new path with resilience and determination. She and Silvio shared 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2018.
elevated kVend Anna was the heart of her family—a devoted mother to Maria (Carmen), Beatrice (Romeo), and Gennaro (Jasmin), a treasured Nonna to Anna (Alex), Rosanna (Spencer), Daniel (Kristina), Adam, Silvio (Vittoria), Annalisa, and Adriana, and a proud great-grandmother to Charlotte. A nurturing older sister to Maria Venditelli and Bruno Artenosi, she was also a beloved sister-in-law to Aldo Venditelli, Lisa Alonzi, and Angelina Canale-Parola. Predeceased by parents Armando and Palma, sister Ida and brother-in-law Mario. Her warmth extended to many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and across Europe.
elevated kVend The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Brian Berger, Nurse Anna, and the entire palliative care team for many years of care and support. A special thank you to Bernadette Batapa, Jasmin Sindol, and Nelita Pardes, whose kindness and dedication made them a true part of the family. Through their caregiving, they provided not only assistance but also companionship and love to Anna. Deep appreciation is extended to the countless PSWs who offered compassion and support throughout her journey.
elevated kVend Her strength, love, and legacy will live on in the family she built and the lives she touched.
Donations may be made to Hill House Hospice and the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
We are deeply sorry for your loss. During this difficult time, may you find comfort in the love of family and friends and peace in the memories that will always remain in your heart. Our thoughts are with you.
It had been my honour to know Anna over the years- to see the love in her eyes for her children and grandchildren and when she could no longer speak the joy and comfort that daily pleasures brought her; watching mass and listening to hymns. A great lady who invested fully in life and in faith and navigated with grace her elder years- an example to us all. My prayers are with the family as God comforts and keeps you in His care.
I love you Nonna. A piece of my heart will always be with you.
We are so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing she lived a life filled with love and friendship in her marriage, a tremendous sense of pride in her children and grandchildren and now a peaceful existence in heaven. Thinking of you.
Sending my sincere condolences.May this beautiful angel rest in eternal peace.Amen,🙏
Anna made us the most delicious Pizza from Lazio province when I visited in 2009.. RIP sweet kind soul. Our deepest sympathies to the family..
Sorry for your loss. Mary and Bruno.
I am so sorry for your loss. Her life was filled with love that will forever be shared through her family. Sincere condolences.
I had the honour of knowing this big-hearted, family-focused woman & matriarch for over 40 years. Self-sacrifice, generosity, humility, gratitude, & perseverance — she possessed those & much more.
My deepest condolences to every member of her well-loved family. Her loss is indeed immeasurable, but so is the love left behind.
“A Letter From Heaven:
When tomorrow starts without me. and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry. the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, And each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, Im right there in your heart.” ❤️
Maria,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Thinking of you and your family as you journey over the coming weeks.
