elevated LbP8d Obituary
elevated LbP8d It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest father Robert S. Watt. Robert passed away peacefully in his sleep, with family at his side, on Monday 17th February, 2025. He was 96 years old. Beloved husband of Eveline, father to John (Marianne), Moira (Shane) and David. Grandfather to Nicole (Anton) and Julia (Victor). Great Grandfather to Mackenzie, Alexa, Julian, Isabel.
elevated LbP8d Robert grew up in Scotland. After the second world war, to complete his national service, he joined the British Merchant Navy, where he served as a Marine Engineer sailing all over the world.
elevated LbP8d Later he emigrated to Canada where he met his wife Eveline, also from Scotland, with whom they had three children and shared 63 years of marriage.
elevated LbP8d Robert was a man of strong religious faith and a devout Catholic which guided him throughout his life. To many people who knew him he was the gentle man. During his life Robert was able to experience several countries. With his passing he now goes to that place that he most wished to see.
elevated LbP8d We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mariposa House Hospice for helping make Robert’s last days as comfortable as possible.

Nicole, Julia, Anton, Victor, Moira, and Shane:
My the soul of your dad/grandpa rest in eternal peace. I’m so sorry for your loss. Find strength in each other.
I have very fond and grateful memories of Robert, my cousin, and Eveline. When I came from England to a job in London, Ontario in 1965 he met me at the airport in Toronto and took me back home for several days. I also visited them while his mother, my dear Aunt Jean, was there. He typified the family solidarity we always felt with our cousins. His family will have many happy memories of him which I hope will be a comfort for them in the future.
