elevated Pn1Pj Obituary
elevated Pn1Pj In loving memory of Guiseppe “Joe” Della Porta, 87 years, who passed away peacefully at Villa Santa Maria, Woodbridge, Ontario. Beloved husband of Rosaria “Rose” (nee Crispo). Loving father of Sylvia (Rob) and Rico (Corinne). Cherished Nonno of Stephanie (Justin), Kyle (Ivona), and Tyler (Anne). Cherished Bisnonno of Delilah. Loving son to the late Alberigo and Silvia (nee Di Biase) Della Porta. Dearly missed brother to Luigi (Brigida) Della Porta. Brother-in-law to the late Franca (nee Crispo), and the late Mario Clara. Dear brother-in-law to Salvatore (Lina) Crispo, Bruno (Diane) Crispo, and Frank (Brenda) Crispo. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and relatives in Italy. Born and raised in Castel Campagnano, Italy (near Napoli) and immigrated to Canada when he was 17.
elevated Pn1Pj Guiseppe was a big soccer fan—his favourite team being Napoli, loved listening to music and enjoyed spending winters in Acapulco, Mexico. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, while sharing his homemade wine, and would have wood made barbeque dinners for family gatherings. Joe had a huge vegetable garden in his backyard which he took great pride in, along with all of the fruit trees (grape, apple, pear, cherry and plum). He loved his fig trees in his greenhouse, and always had a “positive attitude” towards life.
elevated Pn1Pj The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and personal support workers for their long time support and care at Villa Santa Maria, as well as Central West Ontario Health at Home.
elevated Pn1Pj In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations are made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in memory of Joe.
We are sorry to hear about your father. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Our deepest condolences to the family and may his memories be close to your hearts always.
