March 4, 1933 – October 8, 2022
elevated 6loM3 Born on March 4, 1933, in St. Roch, Prince Edward Island, Ada was the eldest daughter of Aurele and Alma Arsenault.
She left the island at the age of 18 and moved to Toronto where she became, forever more, a city girl.
On May 8, 1954, she married Vic and the two of them settled in Toronto where they began their life together and started their family. Wendy, their first tiny bundle of joy arrived in 1960 and 4 years later, in 1964, the family expanded again to include their tinier bundle of joy, Shelly. In 1972 Vic and Ada pulled up stakes and moved the family to this strange sounding place…Mississauga.
elevated 6loM3 Ada had many jobs besides being “Mom” and in 1995 she retired from the Ministry of Health. She enjoyed her retirement travelling Canada and the USA with Vic and spending time with family and friends, but her greatest joy was when she became a grandmother to her one and only grandchild, Erin.
Ada was 89 years old when she passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from Alzheimer’s. It was a battle that she fought so hard.
She is survived by her loving husband Vic, and her daughters Wendy (Russ), and Shelly, her granddaughter Erin, her sister Doreen, and her brother Ivan. She is predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Ernest, and Clifford.
She was loved, she is missed, she will never be forgotten ♥️
The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to all the amazing staff members at Chartwell Wenleigh LTC in Mississauga, Ontario. They took exceptional care of her and showed the utmost kindness and compassion to all of her family.
elevated 6loM3 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Peel in Ada’s memory.

Thank you so much Allan
Mrs Gaudet, (she will always be that to me, even tho she would often say, call me Ada. ) Was a wonderful neighbor and observer of the kids from across the street. First my family and then my sister’s family years later. We all loved her and the rest of the Gaudet family. I am so sad to hear of her passing but appreciate that she fought so hard and now it was time for her to rest. My sincerest condolences to Mr Gaudet, (ne Vic) and Wendy, Shelly and the rest of the Gaudet clan.
“Mrs Gaudet” loved being your neighbour. Thanks so much Sharon.
