elevated RH8oZ Obituary
elevated RH8oZ Antonio Palombi, passed away peacefully at home, in Thornhill on the 28th of May 2024. He was born in Amaseno, one of the many towns nestled in the beautiful rural landscapes of southern Lazio, not far from Rome. In 1955 he emigrated to Toronto and spent a few years establishing himself, before returning to Italy in 1959 to marry his loving wife, Marina. They returned to Canada shortly after being married living first in Toronto, then Thornhill, and together they embarked on a wonderful 65-year journey, building a life marked by so many happy memories. Antonio excelled at whatever task was before him; he was a great problem solver and tackled the activities he took on, with a quiet and calm manner that was always very reassuring. Like many others of his generation, the greatest legacy he leaves is teaching us that life’s most beautiful moments are found in the simplest of gestures; a caring approach, a smile and always making time to be with friends and family. Antonio will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by Marina, his sons Franco and Roberto, daughter-in-law Marie, and grandchildren Olivia and Matthew. The Palombi family is so grateful Antonio lived a full life and with great affection, wishes him eternal rest and peace.

Our deepest condolences to you and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I was so sorry to hear about Antonio’s passing, but very glad to know that he died peacefully at home- and that he still was gardening last year! I have benefitted from Antonio’s handiwork for 30 years- having moved into the family’s previous home in Toronto and eventually buying it from Frank and Robert. I remember well his smile and helpfulness. Thank you for the visit Robert and Marina, and sending you both and Frank and family my deepest condolences. Barbara T
