elevated WxsiU It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Antonio “Tony” Varone, on Friday December 11, at the age of 48. Tony will be forever missed by his loving wife, Anna. Cherished father to Stephanie and Mia. Proud and devoted son to Ottavio, and Maria Varone. Loving brother to Joseph Varone and Cathy Varone-Mawbey (brother-in-law to Jason Mawbey). Loving uncle to Ethan and Lauren Mawbey. Tony will be dearly missed by his many relatives and many friends. Tony was a man who lit up every room he entered and left a mark on everyone he met. Although he may no longer be physically present, the impact he’s made on others will live on forever. Hardworking, loyal, wise, caring and compassionate are just some of the words to describe Tony’s character. He lived for his family and worked hard to provide for them without hesitation. Those that were close to him know that his patience was unmatched; you could always count on Tony to listen and provide guidance to help you navigate through any obstacle life had thrown your way. He didn’t like the spotlight, but it always seemed to find him in every room he entered. He was guaranteed to leave a smile on your face. Tony will be missed dearly by his loved ones and will live on in all the wonderful memories he has shared with countless friends and family. As Tony believed, “it’s not about perfection, it’s about progression”. Due to the Covid -19 restrictions, there will be a private family Funeral Service and Interment being held on Thursday December 17, 2020. It goes without saying that Anna and the children as well as the entire family have my deepest and most heartfelt condolences at the passing of Tony. I have read the sentiments of all the well wishers and all of it is true. Tony saved my life and gave me my back my hope. I might not see his face again or hear his voice but I will always have the light his smile made and have the sound of his laugh echo in my mind.
I know that all who know Tony have those same things. He lives on inside each of those lucky enough to have known him.

I was Tony’s float dispatcher. I spent a lot of time talking to Tony and sitting with him at the end of the day going over the next days moves. To say he was patient is an understatement. He always took the time to explain things and help me be better at my job. There was nothing he couldn’t do. He had his own ringtone in my phone – Rockstar – because that’s what he was. He had the ability to smile with his eyes and his sense of humor was amazing. He came to visit the office a few weeks ago and I was so happy to see him. He brought me candies because he was always stealing them from the bowl on my desk. He will truly be missed. I feel fortunate to have known him, and he will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to the family. Sending you love, prayers and strength. Tony will be the brightest star in the sky.

I cannot express how sorry I am for your loss.
My heart is broken yet I am so thankful to have had such an amazing friend in Tony. He was a gentle warrior, empathetic, kind, sensitive, and an inspiration to me. He was my musical guru, a confidante, and a kind shoulder whenever it was needed. He showed me true strength, and through his strength, I found my own in tough times. Even though we didn’t get to speak over the last years, when we did bump into each other it made me so happy to see what an involved father he was, and to see that the special light he had within him was still so strong and warm.
Earth has lost the most beautiful soul. I will never forget the fun times, and the not so fun times we had together, because they were all a blessing.
I hope you can find even a bit of comfort knowing that Tony touched so many lives in such a profound and beautiful way.
I pray for you all with all of my heart and I hope that you can, at some point, find peace.

I am so sorry to hear this about Tony and still coming to terms with it. I will always remember his free spirit back in the “Wild Streak”
days cruising around in his jeep and Tony passionately singing along to old 60’s tracks like Steppenwolf’s Magic carpet ride word for word while strumming a fake guitar pic along his steering wheel precisely at all the notes shaking his hair around like a true rock star. There were many great songs I heard for the very first time in his Jeep and I am glad that I have those memories among others to remember him by when I hear them. One of my favorites will always be “In the evening” by Led Zeppelin. If there’s anything I’ve learned from Tony getting to knowing him, it was to always enjoy the moment and live free. Tony I will miss you dearly and am glad to have known you. R.I.P. buddy.. My deepest condolences to the whole family. Wishing everyone strength and love.
