It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Assunta Maria Ascione (nee Pellino) on July 29, 2024, at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 86. Born on October 4, 1937 in Pietramelara, Caserta, Italy to parents Luigi and Antonietta. Reunited with her beloved husband Michele (Mike). Beloved mother of Lena (Rocco), Antonietta (John), and Maria (Nick). Proud Nonna of Paul (Natasha), Anthony (Suruchi), Rob (Jennifer), Joey (Jenn), Lucas (Abby), and Andre. Cherished great-grandmother of Michael, Isabella, Sophia, Jonathan, Luca, Rebecca, Marco, and Austin. Dear sister of Rosa, Maria, and Vincenza.
elevated TEhuB Assunta was a very kind and gentle soul, with a love of learning until the end. In many ways, she was so wise, but still had the wonder and joy of a young spirit. She will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many extended family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and in her gardens. She will be lovingly remembered by all as a joy to spend time with and will never be forgotten.

I am deeply heartbroken to hear about the passing of Zia Assunta. She was a beautiful and loving soul whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Heaven has truly gained a loving angel.
